The Bridgnorth Walk committee is independent of any other organisation and the sole purpose of the Committee is to plan, organise and stage the annual Walk.

We liaise with those bodies from whom authorisation is required in order to stage the Walk, i.e. Bridgnorth Town Council, Shropshire County Council, West Mercia Police and Burwarton Estates.

Charity Status. We are not a registered charity. This enables us to help raise funds for organisations and projects which don’t have registered charity status, e.g. local sports clubs and one-off appeals for local projects requiring financial support.

Accountability. Formal accounts are drawn up and  published.  Rather than charge an entry fee, the costs of staging the Walk, e.g. stationery, posting, insurance, equipment etc. are deducted from the total amount of sponsorship money received.
